This is going to be a pretty quick post. This blog was once hosted on a Linode VPS for $20/mo. After that, it was hosted on a DigitalOcean VPS for $5/mo. A few years ago, I then moved the blog to Google Cloud. So, how much has it cost per month? It is much more variable with Google Cloud because it is based upon the level of usage.
Well, during the first three months of 2020, it has cost me $0.88 (or ~$0.29/mo). That is quite a bit cheaper than what I have paid previously. I am running a f1-micro (1 vCPU, 0.6 GB memory) VPS which is enough for a WordPress instance. You are allowed one f1-micro VPS per google account. If you aren’t using yours, you might want to check it out.
