I saw Noah friday night at the Saukville Marcus. While being based on the biblical tale, it does take some liberties. The movie is the tale of Noah, the only remaining decedent of Seth. The rest of humanity descends from Cain (the first human to commit murder). Since the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, Cain’s line has grown wicked and plentiful. God makes the decision to eliminate Cain’s line while allowing Noah’s family to survive.
This was an interesting take on a classic tale. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. Russell Crowe did well in the role of Noah. Through the movie, Noah struggles to do what he can to realize God’s wishes. At times, this is goes against his own desires. He was very relatable.
I think that this is a very approachable, enjoyable movie. I would definitely recommend it.
