Godzilla
I saw this last Saturday at the Fox Bay cinema. You can not talk about this movie without comparing it to Pacific Rim (a movie that I really disliked). The story starts in the 1950s, with an attempt by the US military to kill Godzilla with a nuclear warhead. As the story progresses, it looks at a historical relationship between Godzilla and mankind. Is Godzilla an asset? Is he a threat?
I absolutely loved this movie. At one point, I surprised myself by involuntarily uttering “whoa” during a fight scene. See this on the largest screen you can find. It will be worth the effort. It was 10x better than Pacific Rim.
